Meet the Firm

William L. DeSouchet, CPA

Bill is the firm's owner. He started practicing public accounting in 1981 in Durango, CO. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder and has a Masters degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Bill served as Controller and Business Manager of a corporation for eight years in San Diego, California prior to founding the firm in Alamosa in 1998.

Bill has over 30 years of experience and has expertise in numerous industries, primarily in the areas of taxation, business consulting, accounting and software support.

Bill was born and raised in Alamosa.

Janis DeSouchet

Janis has been an employee of the firm for more than 10 years. She is an honor graduate from the University of Texas. She has quite a few years of experience as a senior software engineer, and as an accountant, and bookkeeper.

Janis and Bill raised their three daughters in Alamosa.

Jeannette M. Bartonie

Jeannette started her Bookkeeping and Accounting Education in 1976 in Switzerland and got her Diploma in 1980. After that she worked until 1999 in the same CPA Office in Switzerland.

Then in the year 2000 she moved to Fort Garland, Colorado to manage her own restaurant. She handled the Bookkeeping and Payroll for the business for seven years.

In 2007 she started as a bookkeeper for William L. DeSouchet, CPA. Jeannette has over 35 years experience. Jeannette became an Enrolled Agent in 2014 by passing a three-part comprehensive IRS exam covering individual and business tax returns. Jeannette is also a Certified QuickBooks Professional Advisor.
